Hi everyone. Just a quick drop by tonight. Been a lot cooler day here. Yay. Lovely cool breeze flowing through my back door.
Love to everyone here and yes Cowboy maybe I will stop the sipping . One of my lovely friends here has totally given up drinking. She is 80yrs old and used to drink like a fish. We had, along with others, a Friday night gathering . It was so much fun. Played 60's music and danced the night away until one of us fell over ! Never me! We used to bring all our Doggies and dance with them too. Then stagger each other home.
One of my friends walked me home one night and bent down to pat my cat and totally face planted on my carpet. LOL
Anyway life calms down and I just sit here and sip. No more hangovers.
Night night everyone.

I saw that about the iguanas on one of the social media sites Rava, also saw some pics of the frozen oranges, hopefully it won't cause a shortage of those. Bubba and I love eating an orange in the evenings as our bedtime snack.
That is definitely shorts weather Mulburry, you need to get out and take advantage of the warm days.
That's what it was dill, creamed spinach, at least that's what the description was lol.
I'm glad you joined us Peachie, it's always nice to hear how we all manage through life. Don't be too worried about your overindulgence, who knows, you may even give up the sips one day.
That's too funny about the sign empyr3al, there's often times I see or hear something throughout the day that reminds me of our group here.
Waves to Jude and Ginger

Good morning Cafe. Jude, the iguanas are an invasive species so when they freeze up I think they collect them and euthanize them because they do wake up after being frozen. Crazy. They are very hard to catch when they are not frozen. I guess its natures way of keeping them somewhat at bay. Al, that is funny about the My Way Out sign. I hope you snap a pic of it for us. Peachie I am glad you dusted yourself off and are back to what makes you comfortable. I wish I could sip. Somewhere along the line that all changed for me. Moderation for me is impossible. Ginger, I have a little air walker and I watch Judge Judy while I get my steps in. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! 24 more please and thank you.

Al, that's funny about the My way out sign. Whenever I see those words I'm reminded about why I'm part of this group, which has been "my way out of hell!
Rava, I can't get the image of iguanas falling from the trees out of my head. Had a good laugh about it though.
Waves to all and have a great day!

Hi everyone, I realized on my way out of the office i looked up at a aign and it said My Way Out ... I didnt turn around to double check but i will make sure to check on Wednesday when I'm back at the office. Snap a shot if its true
Kind of fitting leaving a mental health and addiction department and noticing that. You were all really on my mind I suppose! It was a good productive meeting, good 12 step group, great SMART Group. We talked aboit the empty hole we feel when we get sober and have forget what its like to be not so busy chasing - weve forgotten who we were. Happy 24, grateful to be free. Ill catch up on your posts soon and take some breakfast pics too.
Mulburry it's been as low as -35 with wind chill this weekend .... No fun.Last edited by empyr3al; February 3, 2026, 01:25 AM.

Speaking of "milder", we're supposed to get up to 16C (and sunny!) here in the next couple of days, can you believe. I for one am looking forward to a few days of early spring, I might have to break out the shorts!Originally posted by abcowboy View PostAll good up here, weather is finally a bit milder but that of course usually means snow, which it did a bit overnight.
I've been watching some of the Australian Open recently, and god I don't know how they do it in those kind of temperatures. It baffles me that they hold it there right smack dab in the middle of summer. Cool to see Alcaraz win again though, he's becoming quite a legend! All good here. Still another hot day but thankfully cooler tomorrow.

Oh Peachie, sending hugs to you. I missed Nurse Jackie too. What an ending. I'm watching The Big C on Netflix while riding my stationary bike. It's only 20 min.
Not much going on around here. Waves all! I'll take another

Hi everyone. Oh Dill you put a smile on my face. Yes, he was adorable and did it so well! We had tiles that led onto a carpeted lounge room and he used to come flying off the tiles at a great speed. LOL. Now I'm giggling . God he was funny. Thank you for that.
All good here. Still another hot day but thankfully cooler tomorrow. I'm afraid I over did it on my wine the other night but I've forgiven myself and back to just sipping again. I've finished watching all of Nurse Jackie and I'm missing it.
On these hot days my puddy cats just throw themselves on my bed under the fan and sleep the days away. I go and check on them and they just raise their heads, meow at me and go straight back to sleep. Little darlings.
Thank you all for being here for me., It really means a lot.
Night night

Good morning Cafe. February is a new month to work our sober skills. I hope everyone has a good and safe Monday. It’s 35 degrees this morning in Florida. What is going on. The iguanas are falling out of the trees. Crazy. 24 more please and thank you.

Ha! Peachie, I can just see your little Ben moonwalking all around the house!
Cowboy, thanks for that wonderful breakfast. Was that creamed spinach on that plate? I haven't made that in some time and I do love it! Guess we'll be having some here in the next day or so in real life.
Waves to Rava, Ginger, Jude and Mul!
That quote about resentment was something that stuck with me. It was written in a post by one of the really great writers here long ago. I can't say it resonate with me right away, because I don't think I realized back then how true it is. But I never forgot it and I pondered it over the years until it finally sunk in.
My current tablet is acting up and I am going to have to replace it. Ugh! I dread doing things like that. I am so grateful that Mr. D understands the tech stuff and can help me thru it.
24 more hours of freedom for all of us here, please and thank you.

Waves to the whole gang!
All good up here, weather is finally a bit milder but that of course usually means snow, which it did a bit overnight. I'll get out early to shovel before Bubba heads to work. She's been working at the hospital for the past little while and still covering till mid-March for a lady that is on vacation. She goes in at 6:30, so it's early mornings for us lol.

Loved the quote dill and so true! We can't change the way some people act, but we can change how we react to them.
Thanks for brekkie yesterday cowboy; I had leftovers this morning.
Peachie, glad that you are feeling better emotionally. Losing a child must be incredibly painful and this past year must have been heartbreaking for you. Hugs...
Waves to all and have a great day!
24 more for all of us please...
