Good morning Cafe. Ginger, that would make sense about new ways to display booze. Aldis for years has never had the display at the entryway of the store. You have to pass the wine to get to the fruits and veggies. I see people casually picking up one or two bottles along with their groceries. I think to myself, how can they do that? Rather than thinking my brain is broken I need to change that narrative and think I dont drink it because it’s poison. It is literal poison. All these people that are health nuts and then turn around and drink wine. That is very counterproductive. Anyway, enough of that. Meeting up with some friends today to have lunch and crab on the river. They will be drinking but we will be bringing sparkling water and Diet Coke. Hope everyone has a great and sober day.

I'm surprised that alcohol sales are down but maybe people are getting smarter about their health these days. I cringe when I think about the money that I wasted on booze. Worse yet was the damage to my liver caused by years of drinking. So not worth it!
Waves to everyone!

I have heard the same thing. Maybe all the science around how bad alochol actually is for you is starting to have an impact, a bit how it did with smoking for my generation.Alcohol sales are down according to Hubby's stock report causing retailers to amp up displays and adds. Sounds like the younger gen are choosing alternatives to AL like weed and mocktails.

I don't think we have bobcats around here either Rava, they must be pretty brave if they just walk around during the day. Have fun at your volunteer job!
I'm glad our liquor sales aren't in any stores other than liquor stores dill, not sure how I'd react if I had to walk by it every time I went in for some groceries. Good luck at the dentists today!
Glad to hear the drive was okay for you Jude, nothing worse than poor winter conditions for driving! I think I've got all my outside pre-winter chores done thankfully.
Waves to Ginger and Mulburry...
My truck goes in for a replacement windshield today, got a huge smack in it the other day from a rock coming up behind an oil truck. Seems like I just replaced that windshield not to long ago.

Good morning Cafe. Sorry to hear about all the gloom and rain which is common for this time of year. Thats a big part of what drew us to sunny Florida. We are returning north for Christmas so hopefully there wont be too much gloom! Heading off to volunteer job today. Wishing everyone a safe and sober day! 24 more please and thank you!

I thought of you today Rava, when I went into the local grocery. In the entrance of the store, where I usually just see produce, there was a huge display of WINE!!! RIDICULOUS!!
I wish I could have seen that bobcat! I've never seen a live one. Here in Ohio they had disappeared, but in recent years they have gradually been returning to our state.
Jude, I'm glad your roads were clear for you yesterday. We are expecting rain here today. I wish I could stay home, but I have to go to the dentist this morning to have a crown fitted.Even though I dread it, I am very grateful for it.
Hi Mulburyy, Cowboy and Ginger!
24 more for all of us here please and thank you.

We have bobcat around here, but several years ago I saw one cross the road in front of me as I was taking an early morning walk. I felt very privileged to actually see one. They're usually pretty elusive and I'm surprised that you saw one in broad daylight Rava. Pretty cool!
Dill, I'm glad that you were finally able to make an appointment with a urologist. Hopefully they can help you get rid of those nasty kidney stones.
The drive to my volunteer job yesterday wasn't too bad as most of the main roads were plowed before I had to leave. Just one more thing to be grateful for.
Not much planned for today, maybe I'll actually get around to putting in the storm windows. Who knows?

Wow, a bobcat that close! I've only ever seen a lynx once in a national park ages ago.
We have luckily been spared the downpours. It's just been cool, dark, damp, sopped in and drizzly here the last while (with not a hint of sun in the forecast). Leaves are mostly off the trees now too, and it's starting feel like we've entered that depressing gloomy time of year.Boy, did we get some rain! I'm wondering how California did with all that rain. They were forecasting possibly four inches and that, on top of all the burn areas is a recipe for huge slides.

Wow! A bobcat? I'd have love to have seen that, Rava. You're right though, small dogs and cats beware! Way to go navigating the AL grocery store!
Jude, be careful out there. It's no fun driving in those conditions! I'd be white knuckles the whole way.
Dill, good luck with your Dr appts. December is right around the corner. I hope those things stay put until you can see the urologist.
ABC, I love that you feel that way about hunting with Adam. You're a good dad!
Let's enjoy another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. Safe travels this morning Jude. Hope you enjoy your day volunteering. Dill so glad you finally got an appt for those kidney stones. December is pretty close so glad it’s not too long of a wait. Ginger hope that rain has subsided. Mud slides are the last thing needed. Cowboy just hanging out with family is the fun of hunting. Being together means more than the catch. Same can be said for fishing and crabbing. Yesterday I walked into my local Aldi store and guess what??? The entire alcohol rack is now at the front entryway of the store. What the hell!!! Anyway I did my shopping and then ventured to the other alcoholic grocery store and got what I needed. Everything except the wine. Also yesterday we were sitting by the dining room window when all of a sudden a large bobcat came strolling past the window. Looked about 35-40 pounds. Wow we have never seen one especially in the day time. Makes you think twice if you have to walk your dog. OK heading out soon to walk with a friend. Wishing everyone a safe and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Just keep saying no to that first glass Rava, and even that will get easier and easier. You got this!
That is a bit of a drive Jude, please drive safely!
Hope all goes well at the GP's today dill, December isn't that far away so hopefully the stones stay small and don't cause too much discomfort.
We won't be very disappointed even if we don't get a deer Ginger, just being out hunting together is what I look forward to.
So far not much on my agenda today, but the day isn't over lol.

Oh my goodness, Jude! Drive safe. I had no idea your job was so far from home. On a clear day perhaps that is ok, but in the snow?! Stay safe. Clear but very cold here today. 28F. (-2C)
I visit with my GP today. I finally got an appointment with a Urologist about the kidney stones, That happens the first week of December.
Hope we all have another 24 hours of freedom.
