Hello everyone. Been a very hot day again today. My cats have only decided its ok to go out in my garden.

Heard from Bens partner today. We have always been very close. Her Dad died overnight at home.

Sorry if I always seem to bring bad news here. It's just life I guess.

Much love to all of you. Very sad at the moment . Mostly for Emma. and her Mum.

    Anyway heading to bed now.

    Night night

Couldn't sleep. I think I brused my heel walking in shoes I shouldn't have been. I hope that's all it is! Jeez, it's always something.

I hope we all have a great and sober day. I'm in for another!

    Good morning cafe!

Rava, so glad that your tiny house up north didn't suffer any damage and that the power is back on. I bet that's a relief. It's snowing here now, but we're only supposed to get a few inches today.

Dill, what a great idea taking Lily to a dog park. It's a good way to socialize her to other dogs and people. It's also a wonderful way to stimulate her mentally. The more that you take her, the more that she will relax and enjoy herself. Win, win.

Cowboy, we always make homemade pizza as we live well outside the delivery range so that's not an option. We always make our own crust which is always better than the store bought stuff.

Ginger, hope that your hubby isn't in too much pain from the tooth. I had no idea that the process of getting an implant was so long. Wow.

    Waves to Peachie and Mul!

    24 more please...

    Nighty, night, Peachie. Sleep well!

Hubby has to have a bone graft in order to get the implant. He starts the procedure today and has to wait 6 months for the actual implant. Good times.

Rava, I'm so glad your tiny home came through unscathed!

Dill, what a fun outing for Lily and gdaughter.

Jude. I'm glad that nor'easter missed you guys. What a mess for those in its path!

Safe travels today, ABC. Hi Mul.

    I'll take another day!

Hopefully Mr G's tooth isn't causing a lot of pain Ginger so that it can wait till you get back home. Sounds like he comes in quite handy on your hikes haha.

That was a great hockey game to watch Peachie, it could have gone either way.

Glad your tiny home got through that storm okay Rava, it could have been a lot worse from the looks of some of the news photos.

I was also wondering if the storm was headed your way Jude, thankfully you missed the brunt of it.

Did you have homemade pizza dill or order in? Bubba and I used to always make our own pizzas but now it seems more convenient to just order in.

Another day of travelling for me. Off to the city to pick up our second oldest daughter from the airport, then drive her over to Vermilion, then drive back to Vegreville. Their mom is having a hip replaced tomorrow so Brandie is coming for a week to help Amanda look after their mom post surgery.

Yes, Jude, these grandkids are close. Just a couple of miles up the road. We see them but not as often as we used to do. I do things with the gdaughter fairly often though. I didn't mention that she called me Saturday to see if we could take Lily to the local dog park to give her some time around some other dogs. That was a really nice outing. Lily didn't quite know how to act, but it was her first time. She did alright though. We all had such a nice time that we decided to do it again soon. Our other grandson and step kids are in New Orleans.

Peachie, I wasn't too interested in the Olympics and did not watch the hockey. But everyone State-side was so excited about the men's team win! (Well, I'm sure not "everyone", but most) After 46 years straight of losses, it was a very happy event and worth celebrating! But I will admit I was a bit sad when I heard of it bc I knew Mul and Cowboy would be disappointed.

Ginger, what an exciting find! I bet you were walking on air after that! (That must've been easier on you knees... )

Rava, Jude, Cowboy, Mul, waves to you all.

    Not today....

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the support on the tiny home. Our power went back on late yesterday afternoon and the cameras are all working. All looks good. Thank God! Lots of downed trees and power lines. Those lineman are hero’s to be out in that mess getting our power back on. Jude, I am glad the storm didnt impact you. Ginger, I am gonna have to look up geodes. I wouldn’t even know what one was. I sympathize with your hubby. I had a crown fall out 1 week after we went north. I now have 2 dentists, and get my cleanings every 6 month with each dentist. My teeth are too bad to have to wait 5 months. This works out really well for us. With a doctor we only have 1 in Florida but if sick up north you always have walk in clinics. Not easily done with dentists. Hope Mr. R gets is sorted out as soon as you get back. Dill your grands are growing up fast. How did our grands get so old so fast???!!! Time keeps going faster the older we get. Hi to Peachie, Cowboy, Mul and who ever I missed. Happy Tuesday everyone. NO stinking drinking for me today!

It's snowing and blowing outside this morning but thankfully the Nor'Easter is staying well east of us. Rava, hope that you get power back on soon at your tiny home up north.

Dill, I can't believe that your grandkids are growing up so fast. Do they live nearby?

Ginger, sounds like you had a good hike the other day with lots of treasures for Mr. G to carry home.

Waves to Cowboy, Peachie and Mul!

Hi everyone. Watched the Men's Ice Hockey last night. Found it on Aussie TV covering the Games. I was so rooting for Canada! Never watched an ice hockey game in my life and was so sad at the result. Commiserations to Cowboy and Mul. Wow what skill it takes.

Jude, safe travels on your trip to work today. I'm sure those pussy cats so appreciate what you do for them. Thank you from all us animal lovers. I really mean that.

We had a great hike up a wash filled with washed rock. We found one geode the size of my head that we will be taking home. Hubby had a pack full of rocks on the way back. I reminded him, weight bearing exercises are good for his bones! Bahahaaa

Rava, that was a terrible storm. I hope everything is OK at your tiny home. Jude, did you get part of that storm too? We are headed toward record highs here. Crazy

Hubby has a bad tooth and the dentist wants to pull it and place an implant. He can wait to get the crown at home. These old teeth are wearing out!

Waves to Peachie, Dill, ABC and Mul. Not today!

I saw something on the news about that storm Rava, it's supposed to be something major by the sounds of things. Hopefully they get and affected services back up and running as soon as they can. I take a pretty low dose of meds for my cholesterol, nothing to worry a lot about thankfully.

That is hard to believe the age of your grandkids dill, seems like yesterday you were just telling us about the grandson getting his driver's license.

I don't have a lot of extended family left Peachie, and most of them are quite far from me as well.

    Waves to the rest gang...

Off to Lloydminster today to pick up material for the waterlines Corey wants me to run in the calving barn. Hopefully with the nice weather coming I won't have to work around cows and newborn calves in the barn, they should all be outside when I'm inside working.
