Good Monday morning Cafe. Slo, looking forward to hearing how your showing went. Ginger, blue crabs are good eating but they are definitely messy. We eat them right on newspaper. Thats a tradition in our parts of the neighborhood. LOL. Dill your poor friends granddaughter had a rough visit for sure. Glad her doctor was able to diagnose her and treat her appropriately. Hope everyone has a good and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Ginger, my gf had a visit the second half of June from her daughter and granddaughter who flew in from the Eugene, OR area. The poor little gdaughter was sick for the entire visit! She arrived with a cough and low-grade fever and was lethargic. A trip to the ER tested for the usual suspects but nothing beyond an ear infection was found so she was put on amoxicillin and cough suppressant. She improved but only somewhat. When they went back home this week, they went to her regular doctor who explained that she had pneumonia and that there has been bug going around out in their area affecting lots of children. The doctor in our area didn't have that info, so maybe missed the diagnosis. So, make sure you stay on top of whatever it is you have going. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Cowboy for another excellent breakfast!
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Not to worry Jude, just pop back in a little later Sunday mornings if you can. I know how hard it is to sleep in if you're used to getting up at a certain time.
Enjoy the time with your brother and mom Mulburry.
We've got some hot weather forecast for us this week as well, best get out and cut the grass today.
Have a great day y'all!

Good morning cafe! I'm going to have to sleep in on Sundays from now on so that I can enjoy one of Cowboys fabulous breakfasts.
How did the condo showing go yesterday Slo? Fingers crossed that you've found a buyer.
Dill, the closest hospital to me is 25-30 miles away which does worry me a little. I guess that's just one of the trade offs of living in the country, but I love it here! . My next place of residence will probably be in a nursing home anyway.
Rava, those crabs sound delicious!
Waves to all!
Twenty four more please...

Been off here for a bit, my brother is out here at my mom's now too, so lot's going on. Got a few walks/hikes in before this heat wave that's just hitting us today, and saw an osprey and a whole pack of vultures (unusual for them to be here at this time of year) down by the river.
Glad to hear the good cancer news from both Jude and Techie! Also, very interested to hear more of your medicinal journey's techie,
P.S. Crab is sooooo good! One of my favorite savory foods!Last edited by Mulburry; June 29, 2025, 03:05 PM.

Ten crab! Rava, that's a great haul! I don't know east coast crab. What kind are they?
Yummy as usual, ABC! Pancakes are my favorite. Dill, that was a great cup of coffee. ;~)
Slo, fingers crossed your showing goes well and they buy it so you can get the one you really want!
I can't decide if this is a cold or a massive allergy attack.. I don't feel bad just snorting and coughing. Hoping to turn the corner today!
Waves to all! I'll take another day

That's not too much of an extra drive dill, but definitely something to consider as we get older. I think that's one of the reasons farmers retire into town, to be closer to all the amenities required as they age.
Hopefully you'll get an offer today that you can accept Slo, then make your offer on the new condo. As Bobby McFerrin says "Don't Worry, Be Happy"
Summer colds suck Ginger, I'm just getting over one.
Glad you can enjoy your coffee on the porch in the morning Jude, I'm hoping to be able to sit outside today and do some reading.
That was quite a catch of crabs Rava, I imagine the meal was very tasty!

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, Hope that summer cold is getting better! They are so annoying…. Cowboy thanks for the breakfast. Its perfect! Slo, good luck in your showing today. Hope you sell it. Glad you are having such a good time with your daughter’s family! Dill our headquarters is in Florida. Our northern home is better for catching crabs as we have a dedicated fishing pier on the campground site. No plans for today other than rest my damned back. No drinking planned…. Hi to Jude, Techie and Mul. 24 more please and thank you!

Sunday has rolled around again! Where does the time go? I've got the coffee on....
Ginger, We are 8 miles from the hospital now. If it closes, we will be 17 miles from the nearest hospital. I know it could be worse. I don't know how it affects emergency transport. I may have to get out my insurance policy and read up on it or call the insurance provider and ask.
Fingers crossed for your showing today, Slo!
Still stuck in the same weather pattern: heat, humidity, pop-up thunderstorm, rinse, repeat!
Wow, Rava! 10 crabs! I bet that was delicious. It seems like you catch more there at your northern headquarters than you do at your your southern outpost. I guess I thought it would have been the opposite. I really don't know which one is your headquarters and which one is your outpost, so pardon me if I got my designations wrong.
Waves Cowboy, Mul, and Techie!
24 more hours for all of us, please.

Dill, hopefully the hospital where you volunteer can keep its doors open. Cyber attacks are becoming a lot more common and it's a little scary.
Slo, glad that you are enjoying time with your family. Hopefully things went well with showing the condo yesterday, and that you have a potential buyer.
Sitting on the back porch listening to nature waking up; I can't think of a better way to start my day.
Twenty four more for all of us please...

That’s fun how you can go crabbing at both of your homes, Rava! Sounds like a delicious meal.
It’s still worth going to the garage sales, Jude; for exploring and getting out & about, and in case you find just the right thing.
It is good to have the extra room for when my daughter D3 comes, Cowboy! I am loving having this time with them! Reading to Andy (he loves books) and singing to and snuggling that yummy baby! We went to the farmer’s market for strawberries, and to the park a couple of times today. The kids are having a bath now.
Hope it’s a short-lived summer cold, Ginger. Hope I don’t get one from the baby. She seems healthy, anyways.
I went through the condo I’m coveting yesterday, and fell in love all over again! I am planning to put an offer in…however, crunching the numbers today with D3, it doesn’t look good for me. I could do some real damage to my finances, and leave myself running out if I live too long. I have a showing on this one tomorrow, so we shall see. I have been so stressed about this all week! Will probably have to do the financially responsible thing…
Wonder if Techie is recovered from the tiring conference.
Happy weekend to all!

Good afternoon Cafe. I got on this morning, read all the post then walked away from my ipad and never posted. This getting old really sucks. Hope everyone had a good day. Mr. R and I caught 10 crabs. We just steamed them and some corn and now we are done. I did something to my back so I am on a heating pad and basically done for the night. 24 more please and thanks.
