Hello Cafe friends!

Slo, the hospital is 100% again. They managed to work through all the problems. It was a terrible financial hit for them, but hopefully they will get past it. I have talked with several folks that are getting up in years and have moved in with a sibling to share expenses. I think that would be ideal.

Sorry you can't get out and work on the cabin again this weekend, Cowboy. Hopefully you'll get better conditions next weekend.

Good morning all. There is a 3 day garage sale going on near us that Mr. J and I are planning on going to if the rain holds off. We already have too much stuff so hopefully we won't bring too much home.

Slo, have you ever considered having a roommate? Of course it would have to be someone compatible with you. Many folks these days can't afford a home or an apartment due to the sky rocketing costs of both mortgages and rentals. Not only would this ease your loneliness but it would also help financially. Just a thought.. Enjoy the time with your family this weekend!

Like many places, it has been hot and humid for several days, but it's cooled down into the 60's for now and it feels wonderful. Unfortunately, the heat is coming back next week so the AC will be going back on.

Hi folks. Wonderful news, Jude. I will continue my update tomorrow or Saturday. We were keynote speakers in a global conference today. There were a few technical snags but done and dusted. We are both simply exhausted. My teleprompter program failed. but we did well from memory. Mrs. Techie was by far the best. Blessings x.

I am sick to my stomach and practically hyperventilating that I let that sweet property go! I was between a rock & a hard place though, as there is no interest in this place even though it is still listed. So I would have two for awhile while I waited for this one to sell at quite a loss. Still, kinda wish I would have been brave (& foolhardy) and seized the opportunity! The one I wanted (and could’ve had!) goes live tomorrow, and showings start.

But, what I really want is to live with a person or people. If I bide my time…maybe someone will become widowed or something, or maybe world hardships will come along; and then maybe some friend or relative or loved one may want to join forces with me in housing! So, save for the slim possibility of a better opportunity for me down the road?
And I really should focus on recovering from the neuropathy & complications right now.
But what I hate about this condo is how much work it needs done. I don’t want to sink money into something I don’t even like.

What wonderful news, Jude! Too bad she (and you) were put through such a scare though.

Dill, does that mean that the hacked computer system is still down at the hospital?

D3 & her HB and little Andy and baby Ayla are coming tonight! They are staying with me until Monday! I am so excited!

Jude, that's wonderful! You were due for good news and I'm so glad your sister is OK after all.

Another good day at the hospital registration volunteer gig. Not much else going on today except for more heat and humidity. Maybe some pop up thunderstorms will be added to the mix.

That's great news about your sister Jude, I'll bet she's more than happy about getting a second opinion.

Good morning Cafe. Jude, Yesterday when I posted I guess I only read the first paragraph about you not wanting to commit to another dog. I didnt even see the part that you blew it like I did 2 weeks ago. I am right there with you with that awful horrible sick feeling over our stupid actions. If you want a little pick up book I just read it in one day off amazon called The Dirty Truth on Social Drinking by Hadley Sorensen. It was an easy read and she made so many good points. It helped me move thru my misery…. So glad you came right back and did not hide your mistake. We are all here for support and there is no judgement which is the best part! Hope everyone has a good day today. It’s been so stinking hot this week. 24 more please and thank you.

Slo, you know what they say: when one door closes, another one opens. Is your condo still on the market? Hopefully things will work out in the future. Everything happens for a reason.

Yesterday, I was very depressed and feeling quite sorry for myself when I got the news that my sister's cancer has NOT returned. A previous CT scan showed an area in her lungs that was suspicious, but she got a second opinion from another oncologist who said that the cancer had not returned. She has to get another CT scan in 3 months. So very grateful.

Here's to another sober day for all of us...
