ABC, we had a spring break at our old house, fly across the garage and put a hole in the sheetrock. I was sure it would have killed a person, if it would have hit them! I hope it's an easy repair once you get the doors!

Rava, does this seem to happen with the major shift in locations? Sometimes I wonder just how healthy it is for some of us to migrate back and forth.

Jude, I hope your job is easy on your body today!

I think about all the friends I've made here over the years and wonder what's become of them. I'm glad that I know ABC, Rava and Jude outside MWO. Dill, you're my one hold out.

My appointment with the ortho surgeon is today. If my knee is ready to be replaced, I'll move forward with that. This is the same doc that said it was not ready last winter so we shall see! If it's ready, it usually takes about 6 wks to get surgery scheduled but that's based on hubby's experience 5 yrs ago. Things could be different now. Fingers crossed.... if he won't do it, I'll pursue a rheumatology referral.

Hmmmm I never thought I'd get old, yet here I am, counting my blessings. I'll take another day of freedom!

Are you going to look into a knee replacement now that you're back in Arizona Ginger? How long are the wait times to get in to see the specialist?

I think of Mr Vervill as well dill when I watch any sports on tv. Not sure what all sporting events he takes pics at though.

A customer called late Saturday night saying he has problems with the boiler that heats the basement and garage in-floor heating so I'll be heading up that way this morning. Hopefully it will be an easy fix. Then I have to get prices from a few places on new overhead doors for the garage. The ones we have are just plain metal sectional doors with no insulation so I've been wanting to change them. Last night Bubba and I were sitting in the living room reading and watching tv when we heard a very loud sound come from the garage, it sounded like the aluminum extension ladder that hangs on the wall fell down. It wasn't that but on further inspection I saw that the big spring that assists with opening and closing the door on Bubba's side of the garage snapped and unraveled! Not sure if I'll be able to lift the door myself in order to get her car out or if I'll need to call on a neighbor to help. Hopefully it won't be a long wait to get new doors after I order them.

Good morning Cafe. Missed breakfast yesterday cowboy. I got up too early. Thanks tho. Hope everyone has a good Monday. This time change makes me get up at 4 am. UGH. I am all messed up. I am struggling here with drinking thoughts. I am minimizing my awful hangovers trying to think they weren’t so bad. This is totally BS and I know it. I have to remember that if I give in now and drink I will be spending the rest of the season chasing this addiction and not dealing with the reality of how awful it is. The longer I can fight it the better off I will be. I have to shut down any thoughts of drinking and realize that this is purely mental and not a physical addiction. I am going to continue fighting…..Thanks for listening. 24 more please and thank you.

Ginger, Jude, and Rava, I guess we were all members of the box wine club. I can honestly say that I was never a proud member! And I can also honestly say that I've definitely paid my dues....in hangovers and lost evenings. Jude that's so great that you and Mr. J's niece had such good laughs together. What a gift that was for you both!

Cowboy, thanks for another absolutely awesome breakfast! Glad you enjoyed your day with Adam.

It's a gray day today and pretty chilly. I'm inside watching the Bengals/Bears game with Mr. D, It's a good game so far. I hope the Bengals pull off a win. I wonder if Mr. Vervill is at the game.

Glad you made it safe and sound Ginger! So nice of your neighbors to feed you after all that traveling. I guess is was not meant to be for the Blue Jays, but it was and exciting series and an even more exciting game 7!

The flowers look great Rava, I wonder what the rabbits will think when they get their first nibble of plastic lol. Yes, we changed our clocks back one hour last night as well but I don't find this one as hard to adjust to as the spring one. I think the days of changing time are numbered and we'll all be sticking to one time when we can all agree what time zone it will be.

I hope Mr J is successful with his hunt this morning Jude, an 8 point buck would be great to bag! Sounds like you had a great time with Mr J's niece, sounds like you get along quite well.

Sounds like Pumpkin like his freedom dill, or just prefers staying far away from Lily lol.

I would imagine all that rain affected the amount of kids out trick or treating Mulburry, but sounds like some were brave enough to get out for candy. Glad they got the leak fixed with minimal damage to your place, it could have been much worse.

Adam and I enjoyed our shortened day out hunting. We saw lots of mule deer does but only 2 white tail deer, neither of them bucks. Hopefully next weekend will be better.

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, so glad the neighbors fed you. That is such a nice gesture! Hope you will settle in. Is the RV what you are considering selling? Also if you get on amazon just google artificial fake outdoor flowers. A bunch will come up. They are all about the same price. I am attaching a picture of 1 group of 16 bunches for about 31.00. It filled a large flower pot and to me looks fabulous. Jude, glad you are feeling better! Thats great and more people are helping out at your volunteer job. And yes the boxed wine club is definitely known by us! So glad to be free from all that BS. I watch some of my younger family members that drink heavily like I did at their age and wonder if they will become addicted along the way. Hi to Dill and Cowboy. I am up before breakfast! Good morning all! I forgot to change the clocks back last night so when I got up at 4:00 am it was actually 3:00. It wasn't until I checked my phone that I realized it was daylight savings time. Sure wish that they'd do away it. Cowboy, do you have daylight savings time in Canada? Hope that you had good luck hunting yesterday. Mr. J has trail cams on the property that he hunts and yesterday when he looked at the images he saw a huge 8 point buck, so guess where he's headed this morning!

Ginger, glad that you made it safe and sound, now all that you have to do is unpack everything. Yes, I'm pretty much recovered from whatever bug that I had. I'm still volunteering and we've had more help than in the past so it makes the work much easier. Hopefully that will continue to be the case.

Mul, glad that you got the plumbing issue fixed without it being too big of a job.

Dill and Rava, I was also in the boxed wine club, and one would last about three days. I also remember about tipping the box to get the last drop out. I would always have a back-up box ready to go and then I would be off to the liquor store to restock. So glad that I've climbed my way out of that rabbit hole.

Mr. J's niece is visiting and we both love scary movies so yesterday we binge watched a bunch of them. Some of them were so dumb that we laughed hysterically. Fun times!

Good job on avoiding the lure of those bottles Mulburry, hopefully all the leak issues will be resolved soon.

Yup plumbers did get it figured out eventualy (was coming from upstairs). Restoration guy also thinks we won't have to get the wall or anything replaced, just run a dehumidifer and fans for a week or so, which is a lot easier than have construction people in and out all the time.

Happy halloween all! The trick or treaters around here are going to have to brave some nasty weather tonight with rain, high winds and cold temps.

It was pouring here too unfortunatley, I feel bad for all the kids out there getting soaked in their costumes. At least the fireworks activity was pretty minimal tonight, didn't disrupt my sleep (I still remember being one of those hooligans lighting off fireworks at all hours of the night, haha). It's always interesting walking around the residential neighborhoods here and seeing all the halloween displays, some people go so all out.

We made it safe and sound! We got most everything put away. On to the shed to empty all the outdoor stuff and grocery shopping. The neighbors fed us last night so we didn't go hungry. In the 80s for awhile.

Cyrus settled right in. Kinda goes to show, if you start them early, they can travel too. I got about a quarter of my diamond art done. It's way bigger than I thought. Definitely a project! We listened to "The Streets of Laredo" coming down. Didn't quite get it finished. It was a little too brutal for my liking so I'm hoping I can talk Mr G into finishing it on his own.

Dill, I hope you can convince those two to live peacefully together! It would be nice for Pumpkin.

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, hope you get a white tailed deer today! Sounds like a good day of hunting then watching sports all alcohol free. Ginger, I hope you are home safe and sound today. It has honestly taken me a few days to even figure out where stuff is. I am disoriented when I first arrive and woke up the last 2 nights at 3 am ready to get up. I hate that because now I will feel like crap all day. Hopefully this will all stop. Mul, hope you are doing well today. Hey Dill, I hear you about the boxed wine. I would usually finish a large one in 4 days. Loved the feel of a full box and hated when I had to tilt it to get every last drop. It’s easy to hide how much you are drinking because technically you cant see it. Hi to Jude. Today I get my artificial fake flowers delivered and will put them in my north facing flower pots. I am so sick of watering pots and then the bugs take over so this year I am changing things up. Those fake flowers on amazon are the bomb. LOL. Ok 24 more for me please and thank you.
