    Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

I will look at all the winter trees with a new appreciation for their demonstration of how to let go as the seasons change!

16 y/o daughter left to go spend a day or two with her big sister and baby Beckett! She got out of town before she was exposed to her dad’s arrival home with any potential illness that he picked up in his travels. Online school starts on Tuesday for four days, then Spring Break. Our plans to go visit colleges then have been scuttled, but that’s ok; another time.

I’m glad your neighbor thought to shovel for you, QW; as I don’t like the idea of you shoveling with fresh neck surgeries.

I have my corned beef & fixings already, and will cook it tomorrow!

Looking for an easy AF day today.

5:51 am in Vegas another 24,glad this place is up and running cuz my anxiety level has been ramped up! Vegas is on standstill, major casinos are shutting doors for a couple of weeks and you know it's serious when those greedy grubs shut their doors! Wonder how work is gonna be for hubs and I for the next couple of weeks, I'm dumb cuz I never save, always thinking I'll just make up what I spend, grrr! QW, what a nice neighbor you have, I like when people pull together, not just look after themselves like I've seen around here lately, everyone have a safe, sober day
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Schools are closed here until April 6, but that is subject to conditions. All bars and restaurants are closed by governor's order, too. Take out is still allowed. I'm going to beg off on my volunteer job at the hospital coffee shop for the time being. I won't be surprised if they announce today that volunteers should not come in anymore, but I haven't got official word on that yet. This too shall pass......but when?!

Pauly, people need haircuts no matter what! I hope they don't close down hair salons!

"Keep calm and wash your hands." 24 more please and thank you.

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

I’m giving serious thought to re-scheduling a doctor’s appointment in the city today. I’m feeling fine but I’m worried about bringing the virus home because Mrs QW’s immune system is compromised.
Lots of closures, states of emergency being declared in our area.

I took a loaf of freshly baked bread to our neighbour on Saturday. 45 minutes later they returned the plate and said the bread was delicious! Glad they liked it!!

Stay safe everyone and have a great af Monday.

            Thanks for the quote, Jude.

The Canadians in this park are leaving in hoards to get back across the border in case they close. By mid April most of their health insurance runs out so getting stuck down here would devastate their savings, if they were forced to pay out of pocket for health care. Yikes!!

I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

              Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Today I have noticed that my pace at work is faster than it was a week ago. I did not realize that my drinking was causing these type of issues.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Good morning. Watching the news sure is anxiety producing. All the closings and no supplies and the stock market. UGH. Trying to remain calm. It amazes me that with all of the closings and precautions, that Florida is still have the primary election today. What the hell? Hope everyone has a great day. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Things are crazy here as well! All bars and restaurants closed at 8:00 last night, bare shelves in the stores, and I just heard that the nearby Indian nation has closed down their smoke shop. This is where many people buy their cigaretts at a serious discount. Man, there are going to be some really pissed off folks. God help us if they close the liquor stores....people will start rioting!

                    HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Another 24 please and thank you!

"keep calm and wash your hands" love it Dill really, really trying to stay calm right now, really there's not much I can do about it except keep this family safe and hold it together in front of the little ones, they don't need to see Nan stressing especially when their mom is stressing! She needs to stop reading so many articles and watching podcasts! I'm lucky cuz I can turn the news but she's glued to her phone for updates, sigh 5:45 am in Vegas another 24, Ginger when are you guys heading back home?

                        Good quote, Jude.

Pauly, we are planning to leave the 28th. In WA they closed a bunch more stuff. Including salons. My little sis owns a small salon with 9 chairs. This could end her business. Thought of you, Pauly.

SIL gets here today for a week. Not sure why she didn't cancel over all this but she didn't. She's a nurse too! Good thing her favorite thing to do is hike because there's not much else to do right now!

I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

I decided to reschedule my doctors appointment yesterday, no sense in risking this virus for something not life threatening. I picked up a few groceries yesterday and was stunned at the bare shelves. Apparently people are hoarding everything they can buy. I read that gun sales are up on both sides of the border, I wonder if alcohol sales are spiking too. I don’t care, just wondering.

Milder today so there may be multiple walks in Jessie’s future.

Drifty, being more productive at work & home is just one of the many benefits of being af. Good for you!

Happy St Paddy’s Day, enjoy it af!

The hair salon that I go to is closing down on Friday for 2 weeks! Luckily I can get in tomorrow for a cut & color. I really feel for you, Pauly; and your sister too, Ginger. This is so hard on the self-employed and the very small business owners.

Glad you are already noticing the positive benefits of not drinking again, Drifty.

It’s easier to enjoy St. Patrick’s day AF this year, without all the “good excuse to gather in a crowd and get hammered together” that St. Patrick’s Day usually is. It was hard enough for me to be confronted with the big variety pack of Guinness at the grocery store yesterday, since Guinness was a favorite of mine.

LOVE the quote! I guess self-respect can’t be faked.

I’ll take another easy 24 AF while hunkering down and socially isolating!

Another fine quote today Jude! Thank you.

I decided to give notice yesterday that I will not do my volunteer job thru Apr. 6 at least. Like you QW, I decided it's too much risk for Mr. D. If I bring the virus home to him it could be devastating due to his kidney disease. I was a bit surprised that my supervisor didn't just tell all the volunteers to take a leave for 3 weeks. But she so far is leaving it up to each individual to decide for themselves. She was not upset with me for deciding I have to take leave. She understood.

24 more please and thank you.

The only reason that I am still working is because I am a housekeeper at a dementia facility. Its very important that I am there making it clean as much as I can so that they will less likely get sick.

That and I do enjoy my job. I am pledging that no alcohol will reach my hands and my lips for the next 24 hours.
