Hope your dental surgery went well, Rava.

Ginger, your excursion sounds like lots of fun. I've done a few mine tours in the past and I find them fascinating. Hope you enjoy!

I'll keep you all posted on what happens with the stand-alone emergency center and hospital closure. I am hopeful that the city council makes a wise choice. It's one thing not to have a hospital anymore. That's bad enough. But not to have access to good emergency services is downright scary!

Slo, that's fantastic about the swimming! I'm a poor swimmer myself, and I don't enjoy water much, but I admire people who are good swimmers.

Yes Cowboy and Jude, let's all have a good and sober day.

Rava, hope that every thing went well with your dental surgery yesterday. It's definitely not my favorite thing to do, but sometimes there's not much choice.

Ginger, enjoy your time exploring the caves and mines. Sounds fun!

      I'm in for another 24!

Mr. D and I took a short excursion yesterday to a nearby state park where we used to keep our boat several years ago. They are building a new marina and Mr. D wanted to go see how it was progressing. Although it was very windy, the sun was shining, and it was in the 60s. We walked around and greeted the occasional fisherman as we went. It felt wonderful and the day promised the coming Spring.

Today promises freedom. Another 24 for all \ of us here, please and thank you.

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for asking about the dental surgery. Last night my stitches came undone. I am calling this morning to see what I am supposed to do. The bleeding stopped and my jaw looks like a have a golf ball stored in my cheek. UGH. Glad it’s over and the whole process in the chair took 3 hours. It’s my own fault because I didnt want to keep returning and opted to get it all done in 1 sitting. Hope everyone has a good day. The east coast is supposed to get slammed today with rain and high winds. Glad we are still south. Slo, glad you were cleared to swim again. 30 minutes is a good amount of time! Ginger, hope you have fun on your little getaway. Hi to the gang. 24 more please and thank you.

You might have to go in and get the stitches redone Rava? Hopefully that's not the case.

I'll bet you're happy to be back in the pool Slo, swimming is such good exercise.

I didn't know you guys had a boat dill, or at least I don't remember you ever mentioning it. Did you enjoy going out in it even if you don't like the water much?

How is the cave and mine exploring going Ginger, did you see anything out of the ordinary?

It’s rainy here now, and the snow is melting away.

Well, the swimming is to substitute in for my being unable to take walks and hikes anymore. I can bike, but that’s very seasonal here, and I can’t get a stationary bike to be comfortable to ride with my knee & neuropathy problems for some reason; so I’m trying to find something that I can do.

Rava, I was wondering if you had a chipmunk cheek!

I had a remarkable experience yesterday. I was given a recommendation for a healer through someone on the Tony Robbin’s group that I am signed up for. I had a session with him yesterday, and it turns out that he’s a medium! My dearest wish came true: my dad, my brother, and my grandma (paternal) all came through!! Their biggest message is that it’s not my fault (what my mother did to them, that I didn’t/couldn’t prevent), and I am not responsible! I was able to communicate some with them, through him; and talk some things over!
We did some breath work & energy work to remove a huge mass of dark pain energy that has been attached to my aura and wrapped around me. I feel lighter now, and like I can breathe more easily.

Looking forward to a good AF day today!

That's fascinating, Slo. I'm so glad it was a good experience for you. Will you do it again?

Rava, hope you can get your mouth situation sorted out today. Sounds awful!

Yesterday we drove up to Mount Lemon. There's a ski resort at the top but there wasn't enough snow to open this winter. We drove to the top, which is 9,100 ft elevation. Brrrrr 36 degrees!
Tucson in the distance and hoodoo on the drive to the top!

Off to Colossal Cave and Saguaro National Park today.

Waves to all! I'll take another one

Slo, glad that the healer was able to help you out. Sounds like an interesting experience!

I've tweaked my vacation plans a bit, so now I'm flying to Wyoming and visiting my sister. Then we are driving to Florida and staying there for a week with my other sister. Yay! I haven't been on a sister road trip in years and am really looking forward to it.

Rava, hope that you recover quickly from your dental surgery. It's not surprising that your face is swollen after a three hour dental procedure! Wow!

Pouring rain and windy this morning, yuck!

Looking forward to another 24 hours of serenity...

Cowboy I surely must've mentioned the boat on the forum at one time or another, but a lot of years have passed since we met here on the forum! It was a second hand 22' Sea Ray with a cabin, and we had a canvas camper enclosure made for it so we could actually spend nights on the water, which we did a few times. It was great fun, especially with the grandkids. I got in the water once or twice with them but mostly I just enjoyed the ride. We did some fishing too. Boating is kind of an expensive hobby tho so eventually we decided it was too much upkeep, and we sold it. It was fun while it lasted!

Excellent plan, Jude! What a great way to kick off your second retirement. A road trip with your sisters!

Rava, I can't even imagine your pain and discomfort. Hope it passes quickly.

Ginger, thanks for the awesome pics. The western landscape is wonderous.

Lent began yesterday. I'm going to cut back on sweets and increase prayer and meditation. That's my plan. I hope I can stick to it.

Another 24 for all of us here, please and thank you.

That sounds like quite the experience with the healer Slo, glad you found it helpful.

Beautiful pics Ginger, it looks like it would have been a great drive up and back.

I'm betting you're going to have a blast with your sister on the road trip Jude, then look out Florida when you meet up with the other one lol.

Spending a night out on the water sounds like a fun way to spend time with the g-kids dill, I know it's something I'm sure I'd enjoy as well.

Thank you Rava for giving me the extra push I needed. I booked an appointment with the dentist to go in and get my remaining teeth pulled and get fitted for dentures. Now I have 2 weeks to get nervous about what it's going to be like lol.

The cave was awesome and has quite a back story. The tour guide did an awesome job too! Very entertaining.

Off to Tombstone today! Waves to all. I'll take another day of freedom

I was going to complain about my lack of sleep over the past 2 nights, but I've found that keeping an attitude of gratitude goes a long way towards bringing me back to reality. Some people spend the night on the streets, not in a bed.

Dill, we used to have a boat and would often take it out on one of the many lakes around us. It was fun for awhile, but we decided to get kayaks and we don't even use those anymore.

I'm grateful for everything that I have, but especially my sobriety. Here's to 24 more for all of us.
