Jude, I am so sad about your SIL's prognosis. How cruel after all she has endured. My dear friend who I lost two years ago to cancer followed a similar course. Her cancer was just too aggressive and took her in the end.

I am grateful for this little group. I don't know where I would be without you.

24 more for all of us please and thank you.
    Dill

Is that the friend that you used to drive to chemo, Dill? Is she the one who died?

I went out to my niece’s soccer game yesterday late afternoon, with others. It was such a beautiful day to be outside too! Finally nice weather! Winter felt too long this year.
My condition (the withdrawal of B6 from the nerves) causes feelings of terror, and it helps so much to be with other people.

Glad that you have a supportive husband, Rava.

I am grateful for all of you too.

Jude, I'm a big supporter of hospice care. Your sil is in good hands. I pray she makes a peaceful transition soon. She's suffered enough.

Slo, all my kids live near me, including grands and greats. I'm blessed but exhausted. Lol Seriously though, it's the best! I'm glad you got some Huxley time yesterday!

        Rava, when is go time?

Hi Dill and ABC! I'll take another day

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

It's good that you have some family to do things with Slo, and spending time outside with them is even better.

Still haven't got any of that rain you were going to send this way dill and Jude, maybe try sending again lol.

Good morning Cafe. I am back on the wagon since Monday and feel so much better. It is harder to drink up north because you have to actually drive to a liquor store to get wine and it’s not available in every grocery store or pharmacy. So that is a good thing. We leave early next week. Working on getting our food supply down and pulling flowers, etc. We have to have everything out of the porch, etc to properly prepare for hurricanes. Also just this week a husband and wife were canoeing and accidently canoed over an alligator which knocked them both off the canoe and killed the wife. And down the road from that an 89 year old man and his dog were killed by 3 bears. My goodness this is a wild place to be. We still love it here but have to be super careful of the wildlife. Rainy season is just starting and the storm clouds are ever present each day. Today I am thankful for my sobriety and this group of friends. Jude, hospice care is amazing. I hope your SIL has a peaceful transition. All she has been through, she should now be comfortable. I wish I could get my dad into hospice. Even mentioning the word Hospice, I am met with extreme hostility. Everyone has their own way of leaving this world. My choice would be comfort care. 24 more please and thank you.

RAVA!!! That's terrible. Hubby said he'd heard about the canoeing accident on the news. What general area are you in? I can't recall.

Going with little sis to an out of town dr appt so I need to get going! So grateful for all of you. I'll take another day of freedom!

Late check in here due to volunteering this morning. I'm happy to be home and working up some energy to get out and help Mr. D with the mowing.

Wow, Rava, what a lot of terrible news of tragic wildlife encounters. It must be very unsettling to you and the neighbors in the area.

Sorry Cowboy, I tried my best to get that rain to you but Mother Nature had other ideas!

                    Hello Slo, Jude and Ginger.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I feel so dizzy & sick some mornings with the POTS syndrome that I forget to post. This was one of those mornings.

Such a beautiful day here! And all the crab trees are in full flower too.

Such wildlife tragedies so close to you, Rava! Must make you feel better about heading back north soon.

I just got to talk to my sweet baby on the phone, and open a Mother’s Day gift from her that came in the mail today! Such thoughtful gifts! (Birthstone necklace and butter dish)
She is busy saying goodbye and “last time ever” to all her college haunts and activities as she prepares to graduate.

I will join in another 24 hours of freedom.

Wow Rava, Florida sounds like a dangerous place to live! How tragic that 2 lives were lost due to wildlife. So sad.

It has rained here everyday for the past week and it isn't supposed to stop until Sunday. There has been a lot of flooding in the areas around us, but luckily we were spared. Cowboy, did you get the rain that I sent?

There's a quote from AA that states, "Cease to be grateful, cease to be sober." It really does put things into perspective when you are grateful for everything that you have, not what you don't have.

That's some crazy wildlife you have down there Rava, I feel sorry for the families affected by the attacks...

Sure wish there was something that could be done about your pain Slo, but glad your family is able to lift your spirits up.

Hope the trip with little sis was enjoyable Ginger, and all went well.

Well, Jude and dill, you need to do a bit better please, we got a downpour that lasted all of ten minutes lol, not even enough to slow down the tractor lol

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, hope your trip with your sis was fun. We are down in lower florida by the everglades. It can be very scary. Glad we don’t have a little dog to walk. We have had basically no rain all winter long. They say thats why the animals aka bears are all out of sorts. Slo, I hope you start feeling better soon! Hi to everyone here. 24 more please and thank you. Jude, I am grateful!

Rava, we just finished watching "Bad Monkey" on netflicks. It was set in the everglades. What a gorgeous area you get to live in.

Jude, that quote is absolutely true and a great reminder to start our days with gratitude.

Always a fun trip with little sis. She's still not drinking and feeling awesome about that. Now she has to stop that damn vaping and she's trying. Bad habits suck but she's strong and she's got this!

Dill, I don't miss taking care of grass but I do miss the smell of cut grass. Takes me back... Enjoy!

ABC, do you go home tonight?

Slo, what degree did your daughter graduate with? You must be crazy proud of her!

Off to workout! I'll take another day of freedom
