I got in with a dentist today since the tooth pain has become so intense, and I have an infection. He says I may need to have a root canal done. Has anyone here had a root canal done? What’s your experience with it?

Spent the morning on the phone with insurance trying to find in-network PT for my foot and in-network dental. Such a slow process.

My ex was avoiding me, Cowboy; so I didn’t even get in a polite ‘hello’. My extended family was all over him & his girlfriend. My mother gave his girlfriend a big heartfelt hug when they left.
That made me feel not very gracious. That’s funny that your ex lives with a ‘Bruce’ again!

Fun that you got a pool day with your granddaughter, Rava! I took Huxley to day care this morning. I do that on Mondays now.

Thankfully this 800 mg. of ibuprofen has relieved the tooth pain for now.

Another hot and muggy day here, but I'm grateful that I don't live in Texas. Such a sad thing that so many people lost their lives during the floods.

      Loved the quote Rava!

Slo, I had a root canal many years ago and it wasn't that bad. Think of it as something that's going to relieve the pain that you're having now. It's definitely worth doing even if you have some discomfort at first, you will be better in the long run.

My diamond painting kit came yesterday and I'm looking forward to working on it today.

I'm in for another day of serenity...

Good morning Cafe. Jude, looking forward to hearing about your diamond painting. I started again the other day. Slo, I hope your tooth pain goes away. UGH. That takes me back….. I have 2 dentists now. One in each location. So much dental work to include root canals and crowns. Just make sure they give you loads of novacaine. It will be ok. The pain will go away once the nerve is removed. Ginger, I am glad the camp trip went safely. Today is going to be rain. Gives me an excuse to diamond paint and watch some TV. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. I have made it past my 1 month anniversary! WOOT WOOT.. 24 more please and thank you!

Congrats on the one-month milestone, Rava. Your slip doesn't erase all your past accomplishments but still, after a slip, it is a reassuring accomplishment! Enjoy your rainy-day diamond painting. Thanks for that lovely quote.

Slo, I have had one root canal and am so grateful there are endodontists! The pain from that infection was awful. Having the root canal wasn't as terrible as I expected it would be. The doc was very thorough with the numbing procedure so other than being uncomfortable at having the mouth kept open for the duration of the surgery, it wasn't too bad. Hope you find relief soon.

Hope you enjoy your diamond painting today, Jude. It took me a little time to warm up to it, but once I got into it I enjoyed the process. Very relaxing.

I had a good look at the twin fauns yesterday evening. They were in the front yard grazing with their mama. So beautiful! They still had their spots. I wonder at what point they lose those markings. Thankfully Lily was elsewhere, LOL!

            Waves Ginger and Cowboy!

24 for all of us here, please and thank you.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

I've also had a root canal but it was years ago Slo, it wasn't that bad if I remember correctly. You'll be glad you did it once it's done.

Enjoy working on the diamond art Jude, might be something you really like. It is terrible about the floods in Texas, makes me think that I don't have much to complain about with the weather we have up here.

Great job on your 1 month Rava! You've got this!

              Waves to Ginger and dill!

Rava, congrats on one month. They'll just pile up from here!

I'm working on a set of diamond art ocean themed coasters. I can hold the pen with my fingers without my thumb. Its saving my busy mind! Jude, I hope you enjoy it!

Slo, I've had more root canals than I can count. I have teeth that die with the least bit of trauma, which includes fillings. My last one was over and done before I knew it!! You got this, girl.

Dill, did you get pictures of the mama and babies? If so, please share.

ABC, what are you up to today?

I'll take another day of freedom!

I can post now while I ice my foot.
My friend is coming soon! She is staying for a couple days.

This 800 mg. of ibuprofen sure relieves the tooth pain! I try take it just once a day, but worry that even that is too much over two week’s time.
That’s the other thing I wonder: endodontist or dentist to do the root canal? Well, insurance may end up deciding that.
Thank you for sharing your (all!) positive experiences!

Rava, it feels good to be a month out from a slip. Now go for two months!

The twin fawns are so cute around here too.

Ginger, clever to find a craft project that you can still do while your thumb recovers!

Let’s all keep on keeping on…

Morning cafe! Congratulations on one month Rava, everyday counts!

Dill, I love seeing fawns when they still have their spots, they are so adorable! Mr. J didn't put up any trail cams this year so I didn't get to see anything up close.

Waves to all and here's to another day booze free.

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I would love trail cams. We have ring cameras and I watch my Florida condo front yard especially at night when the creatures come out. Mostly rabbits and I have seen a large coyote as well walking all around. Had a fun craft night here at the community club house. We modge podged wine bottles and put lights in them. Fun craft and I am meeting new like minded people in my community. Slo, hope you get that root canal soon and get over the pain. My damn tooth pain lasted the whole month of March so I can relate. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. No booze in this house. That really helps! 24 more please and thank you.

From the fawns I've seen around here dill, most of them have lost their spots. There have been a couple that still have them though.

I had a leaking drain under a sink to fix for a customer yesterday Ginger, and today I have a rusted out elbow on a chimney to replace. Just the kind of small jobs that I like lol.

Sounds like a fun day with some new friends Rava, I'd love to see a pic of your finished product.

I used to live on Advil when I had a toothache Slo, kept taking them till the toothache went away. Enjoy your time with your friend when she/he gets there!

I haven't put any of my trail cams out for a few years Jude. I usually only put them out when we get drawn for moose or elk to see where they are hanging around. We didn't put in for any draws this year as our freezers still are full enough to last another year.

It sounds like everyone is busy and productive around here! Much better than wasting time drinking.

Ginger, I did not take a picture, but I wish that I had. The moment passed too quickly for me to get the phone.

Slo, endontist if at all possible. I've used both and the specialist experience was noticeably better!

ABC, glad you're getting just the right tasks to do to keep you busy!

Rava, that sounds like a great craft idea. I have a folder on my phone of fun, quick projects to share with our craft group in AZ when I get back down there. I'll add this one too! Thanks

Dill, no worries. That would be a hard shot to get!

Jude, did you start your diamond art project? I'm loving these coasters. I ordered another set yesterday. Diamond art and puzzles will be my saving grace as I rehab this thumb. Turns out it's easy to do with my left hand!

I'll join you all in another day of freedom!

The side of my face is so swollen from this tooth infection! Not sure if this is normal…
I hope I can see an endontist then, even though it is a front tooth, so apparently less complicated to do a root canal in than a back tooth.
I bought some regular 200 mg. Ibuprofen, and am taking that more regularly, rather than 800 mg. once a day.

Dill, I’d rather enjoy the brief wildlife moment rather than worrying about getting a picture.

It’s nice having my friend here. We went out to eat on an outdoor patio overlooking a lake last evening, and enjoyed the sunset.
Except I ordered a non-alcoholic beer, and they brought me a regular one! And I downed a third of it! And I briefly melted into the music, and became a better conversationalist…
It was weird having that drug coursing through my body again. I will have to be more careful in the future to check out what they bring me instead of trusting.

                                So, back to AF living!
