Mul, you sure do live in a beautiful area! Lucky you!

Yesterday wasn't too bad at the shelter so I may try to stick it out. If not, there are plenty of other opportunities with them that aren't so physical.

Ginger, when are you heading south?

    Hey Rava, cowboy and dill!

    24 more please...

We've had a couple of absolutely spectacular days here, total blue sky sunny days with cool mornings and evenings and temps topping out at a comfortable 20C/70F. Below is pic I took on my hike today, up on a small mountain above town (using the panorama feature on my new phone).
Sitting in the sun later in the afternoon did give me a bit of a craving for a beer (or four), sun and beer always did go so well together............. but............. NOT TODAY!

Jude, you gave the volunteer job your full effort and fair assessment. I'm certain you are making the right decision. When I was volunteering in the local ED I too came to dread volunteer day. That was when I told my Volunteer Coordinator that I would be leaving. Lucky for me she had another spot for me to try out and it was a good fit. You'll find something that is a good fit for you, too.

Ginger, glad that the party was such a successful. Were you wearing ear protection?

We're supposed to finally get some rain around here tonight! We sure need it.

    Hi Cowboy, Rava and Mul.

24 more please and thank you.

The party was a success! The kids had so much fun. It was a beautiful fall day so the only indoor portion was blowing out candles.

Jude, I'm sure you'll find a better volunteer fit. I'm proud of you for sticking it out as long as you did. I know you were wonderful help for that time.

Rava, that's awesome you got to see past family members and they were no longer drinking either. Sounds like a wonderful time.

    Hi ABC, Dill and Mul.

Starting to wrap things up around here. My hearts not in it but it must be done! I'll take another day!

If you dread going in Jude, it's probably a good idea to look for something different.

Sounds like a good time was had by all Rava without any drinking.

Looks like Mr D is spoiling you dill, best get him a list of other things you'd like built lol.

I'll bet there were lots of kids enjoying themselves at the birthday party Ginger, not sure how long I could have handled the noise haha.

I think that today may be my last day at the shelter. I find myself dreading the job more and more each day, so I think that it's time to look for different volunteer opportunities.

Rava, glad that you had a great time at the wedding. Who needs booze when life is so much better without it.

    Waves to all!

    Not today...

Thanks for that wonderful breakfast, Cowboy! Our weather here is still well above normal but is supposed to start getting into more normal levels this week. I don't really envy you your below freezing mornings but I'll try to get myself prepared for that to come our way soon.

Rava, that's so great that you made it through that wedding and that your ex's family have all changed their lifestyle so much! What a shock that must've been. A pleasant one though.

Jude, I hope you and Mr. J found something fun to do today! How many years is this anniversary for you?

Ginger, when do you think you'll be heading south? It's been so warm here lately it's hard to believe the cold weather is on the way. The only indication I really have is that the sun is setting much earlier every night and coming up much later every morning.

Mr. D has been in a woodworking mode lately and I've been the #1 beneficiary. He built me a free-standing cabinet for the kitchen, and if that wasn't enough, he went and built a small corner cabinet that I am making into a spice cabinet! I'm feeling like Christmas has come early for me.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Good morning Cafe and I have absolutely no idea how I just posted that comment from Jude. We are traveling on a very bumpy road and I must have hit something on the keyboard. So sorry about that. Here to report that the wedding was wonderful.. My late husbands family that I have not seen in ages have all stopped drinking. It was a totally pleasant surprise. We all sat around eating and drinking waters and dancing. Best time in a long time. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. Thanks for all the support and for breakfast Cowboy!

Part of the problem is that there aren't enough people to do all of the work so sometimes I'm the only one feeding, watering and cleaning cages. It's back breaking work and it does a number on my back, but I love interacting with all of the cats. Decisions, decisions...

Peanut is growing fast and is now playing with the other cats. She's still wary about us humans but I was able to pet her the other day. She even purred, albeit grudgingly.

Ginger, after I put the pie in the oven I noticed the crust sitting on the counter and was able to fix my drunken mistake.

Cowboy, I bet that you're happy about the harvest being over so that you can spend some quality time with Bubba.

Rava, glad that the latest hurricane is going to miss your area. I'm far enough inland that we don't have to deal with that kind of weather thank God.

Pancakes! My favorite. Thanks, ABC. Definitely tis the season for winterizing. This is the first time in 20 years, we've not had an RV here to winterize. Can't say I miss that!

Rava, hope you had a fun night, sans AL. Safe travels home today.

Jude, have fun if you get out today. We are headed to great g-son's 4th bday party today. Should be fun watching all the littles go crazy. Lol

Hi Dill and Mul. Enjoy this beautiful fall day.

    I'll take another!

Enjoy the day with Mr J Jude, whatever you decide to do...

I think the only thing hurting you this morning Rava is your feet from all the dancing you did!

    Waves to dill and Ginger...

Another morning just below freezing here, everything white with frost I'm sure. Theres a few nights this week that are forecast to be below freezing so I guess I'd better go out and winterize the camper this week.
