Jude, I'm so sorry to hear that! What the heck? Take care.

Dill, yes, we also had two buck chuck and I bought a lot over the years! Glad those days are behind me! Your granddaughter will always be attached to you and that's so wonderful for you both. My grandma was my hero and that will always be true.

ABC, I bet that soup will be delicious! I thought over eating at holidays was mandatory?

Rava, so glad the storm passed you! Enjoy the rest of your time with your littles before you migrate.

    Mul, enjoy Vancouver. Lovely area!

We are having a wonderful time playing cards, puzzling and crafting. We're finishing our mosaic pieces today, as well as, a clay bowl project. It's lovely we aren't drinking!

    I'm in for another day!

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you as well Mulburry! Enjoy your time in Vancouver with your brother!

That's terrible news about having pneumonia again Jude, I'm presuming you stayed home today from your volunteer job and are following your Dr's orders.

I'll bet you had a grand time with your granddaughter dill, did you guys do anything special?

Sounds like you weathered the storm without too much trouble Rava. The next two weeks will fly by I bet.

Have you and your sisters got anything planned for the time together Ginger since hiking or golf is out of the question?

We had great day yesterday making our Thanksgiving dinner and of course I overate, but that's what turkey with all the trimmings is for isn't it lol. I've got time this morning before Bruce gets here to boil the turkey bones and get my big pot of turkey and rice soup made.

Jude, I'm so sorry to hear your pneumonia returned! I'm absolutely amazed at the amount of work you were getting done while you were sick with developing pneumonia! You're amazing! Take all the rest you need and follow the doctor's advice until you are all well. If you haven't managed to do the applesauce yet, don't worry...the apples will keep until you can work them up.

Hi Mul, glad you are enjoying time with your brother. Hope the sun shines down on you both for a few days.

We had a lovely visit with gdaughter yesterday. She is such a sweetheart.

It seems too much to believe that there may be peace in the middle east, but I hope it is true and lasting.

Let's all have a day of peace and freedom. 24 for all of us here, please and thank you.

Good morning cafe! Yesterday I had to go to urgent care and guess what? I have pneumonia again. They put me on a boatload of drugs but so far I'm still feeling crappy. Short post today, but I'm still in for another 24 hours of serenity...

Happy AF thanksgiving to all the Canadalandians on here (and happy weekend to the rest)! I'm back in Vancouver spending it with my brother. Of course the first few days I was welcomed with typical Vancouver rain but it's supposed to be gorgeous and sunny tomorrow and all of next week! Looking forward to some ocean walks and some different scenery!

    MMMMMMMM, yummy applesauce, Jude!

Ginger, have fun with your sisters! Stopping at Trader Joes would be fun. Your mention of it reminded me of long ago times when I used to go to Joe's for a bottle of "two buck Chuck". I don't remember how it got the name, but it was a bottle of chardonnay that was a promotional item to get folks in the store. Did you have that in your area? You wouldn't need anything like that now that you and your sisters have all moved on!

Rava, I'm so glad the storm seems to be giving you all a pass this time around!

Cowboy, that's sounding like a really good family gathering. Enjoy! Thanks for the great Cafe breakfast.

Our gdaughter is coming by for the afternoon. It's absolutely beautiful today, so we will enjoy the time with her on a beautiful day!

    I'll take another 24!

Rava, thanks for explaining. So glad it's passing you by! ABC, thanks for breakfast! It's wonderful you got to see all your family. Jude, we only have the two places. The rest are just short term rentals. This one is beautiful and set in the woods. Lots of hiking, if I were able. Next year! Hi, Dill and Mul.

I'll take another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy sounds like you have a great few days planned. Enjoy your turkey today and your time with the other Bruce and family! Thank you for breakfast. I am drinking coffee, eating your breakfast, and smelling my wonderful pumpkin pecan candle. It’s windy and pouring rain but looks like the storm may be almost past us. So far, so good. We tied down the patio furniture and will probably just leave it since we only have 2 weeks left. Ginger, We dont leave unless he have to. There is nothing worse than spending time in someone else’s home just waiting. I will take my chances. If this was a Cat 5 hurricane, I would evacuate. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. 24 more please and thank you!

A pig roast?? Count me in! I'll bet it was delicious dill! Yes, Lonesome Dove is one of my favorites, so many great actors in it.

Have fun making and canning the applesauce Jude, I'll bet it will taste great with the ham.

Enjoy the visit with your sisters Ginger, even better that there won't be any booze involved!

Any more news on the storm Rava? I haven't seen much about it on the news up here. We did have a heck of a wind all day yesterday and a bit of rain but nothing like what's in store for you I imagine.

Got our Costco shopping done and had a great visit with Adam, Darcie, Ashley, and Brandie! We didn't realize Brandie was there as well so it came as a big surprise to us.

    Good morning cafe!

Rava, it sounds like you are well prepared for the storm and I'm glad that you have an evacuation plan in case things get really nasty. Just stay safe!

Cowboy, it sounds as though you're in for a busy weekend with the holiday and family coming to visit. Give Bruce a pat for me as well!

Ginger, having fun with your sisters must be much easier now that no one drinks anymore. What a difference that can make. I really miss my siblings, especially during the holidays. Sure wish that they lived closer. How many houses do you own? I've never heard you mention having a house in Roslyn.

Dill, I love the idea of having a pig roast at the local feed store. It sounds like you live in an area much like mine, and I'm sure that you love it as much as I do!

Looks like apple sauce canning is on the agenda for today because we went out and picked 24 pounds of apples. We are having a ham dinner tonight and a nice jar of apple sauce will go good with it. Yummy!

    Hey Mul!

Pig roast at the feed store! True Americana. You guys have fun, Dill.

ABC, it sounds like you're going to have a great weekend plus "baby" sitting Bruce on Monday? I'm jealous. Those Danes are one of my favorite breeds. I've only met a few in my life and they were, everyone, sweet as can be!

Rava, I'm curious.... why don't you just leave now? Do you want to experience the storm? Be safe you two!

Jude, have a great weekend! Mul, you too.

Heading out around 830a. Our house is only an our from here in a mountain town called Roslyn. We keep the fall trip closer to home. However, today we will drive over the pass to the big city for the day so we can stop at Trader Joe's. Love that store! Looking forward to 5 days with my sisters! No one drinks anymore so that's off the table! Woot woot I'll take another day.
